the Mississippi
GUIDE SERVICE
Photography Guide
Services by J T Smith
and Marty Bugg
Eagles along the Mississippi is a photography guide service from December 1 to February 1. Expert guide Marty Bugg and photography educator James T. Smith will lead your journey to photographing Eagles along the Mighty Mississippi River. Private Property located near Hannibal, MO provides access to hundreds of Eagles.
Heated blinds are provided and you will be given the best opportunities to capture eagles up close. Our private property will lead you to the banks of the Mississippi River where the Eagles dive for fish and will rest in the woodland area near our blinds.
Eagles will range from immature, yearlings and full grown adults. When ice is on the river you can view over 250 Eagles and photograph Eagles up close when they dive down to catch fish and roost and devour their prey right in front of your blind.

Eagles Along The Mississippi
We put you right where the action is when it comes to Eagle watching and photographing Eagles. Our expert guide will help give you the best chances to photograph many Eagles. We recommend having at least a 300mm focal length (or equivalent) lens to photograph most of the Eagles you will witness. We have the private property to access prime Eagle viewing. Our expert staff understands the region and provides options that gives you the opportunity to witness and photograph the American Bald Eagles up close and personal. Capture the action when Eagles fly overhead, capture eagles fishing in action in front of you and witness them roosting right above you. You will witness and photograph eagles and other wildlife out of a comfortable and heated camouflaged blind.
Your experience will be well accommodated during your outing.
Images on this site and below are examples taken from our climate controlled blinds with a 300 to 400 mm focal length lens by expert photographer and instructor, J T Smith. A minimum of 200 mm telephoto or zoom lens is recommended.
If you would like to experience photographing eagles and feel like you don't have the camera equipment, we may be able to assist you further with a desire to capture eagles up close and personal.
